The Polo Panthers waltzed into their contest Tuesday with two straight wins but they left with three. They blew past Hardin-Central 53-23 on the road. Given Polo's advantage in MaxPreps' Missouri basketball rankings (they are ranked 154th, while Hardin-Central is ranked 342nd), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Libby Fifer and Ester Kincaid certainly did their best on Tuesday to try and avoid the loss. Fifer scored ten points, while Kincaid scored no points.
Polo's victory bumped their record up to 5-1. As for Hardin-Central, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 4-4.
Polo's road trip will continue as they head out to face Schuyler County at 11:00 a.m. on December 21st. Schuyler County will be looking to extend their current five-game winning streak. Hardin-Central will be home for the holidays to greet Braymer at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Braymer and Hardin-Central are at an even 5-5 over their past ten head-to-heads.
