The Kutztown Cougars's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Saturday after their third straight loss. They lost to Saucon Valley at home by a decisive 61-47 margin. Kutztown lost against Saucon Valley in their previous head to head back in December of 2022, too, but the margin this time around was much wider than the 58-45 score last time.
It was another big night for Jack Robertson, who dropped a double-double on 26 points and ten rebounds for Saucon Valley. The contest was Robertson's fourth in a row with at least ten points. Caleb Grim was another key contributor, scoring six points along with nine rebounds.
Kutztown's loss dropped their record down to 1-3. As for Saucon Valley, they pushed their record up to 4-2 with that win, which was their fifth straight on the road dating back to last season.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Kutztown will square off against Hamburg at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Hamburg is coming into the matchup on a four-game losing streak. As for Saucon Valley, they will head out on the road to face off against Bangor at 6:45 p.m. on Monday.
