New Hampstead can now show off seven landslide victories after their most recent match on Friday. They took their matchup on the road with ease, bagging a 77-20 victory over Islands. While fans of New Hampstead might be used to big wins, the 57-point margin marked the team's biggest win yet this season.
Meanwhile, Jenkins County waltzed into their contest on Saturday with two straight wins but they left with three. They skirted past Claxton 42-40.
New Hampstead's win bumped their record up to 12-7. As for Jenkins County, their win was their fifth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 11-10.
New Hampstead was able to grind out a solid victory over the War Eagles in their previous matchup back in November of 2023, winning 33-20. The rematch might be a little tougher for New Hampstead since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
