Maricopa put the finishing touches on their 17th blowout victory of the season  on Wednesday. Everything went their way against the Valley Vista Monsoon as the Maricopa Rams made off with  an  18-5 victory. The  win was nothing new for Maricopa as they're now sitting on nine straight.
  Alexandria Armstrong was a major factor while hitting and pitching. On the mound, she  pitched five innings while giving up just two earned  (and three unearned) runs off   three  hits. Armstrong has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't  pitched less than five  innings in four consecutive pitching appearances. Armstrong was also big at the plate,  going 1-for-3 with a  triple, two  RBI,  and a  run.
 In other batting news,  Leah Montes was a standout: she scored three  runs and  stole a base while going 3-for-3.  Alanee Calderon was another key contributor,  scoring three  runs while  getting on base  in three of her four plate appearances.
 On Valley Vista's side,  Teagen Sorensen made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and  scored a  run and  stole three bases while going 2-for-2. The team also got some help courtesy of  Brooke Hyde, who  scored two  runs while going 2-for-2.
 Maricopa has  been performing  incredibly well recently as they've  won 11 of their last 12 matches,  which provided a nice bump to their 23-3 record  this season. As for Valley Vista, they are  on  a  six-game losing streak  that has dropped them down to 8-10.
 Maricopa will be playing at home against Tolleson at 6:00  p.m.  on Thursday. Maricopa will be looking to keep their five-game home win streak  alive. As for Valley Vista, they will head out on the road to  face off against  West Point at 6:00  p.m.  on Thursday. West Point will be hoping to continue their five-game streak of scoring more  runs each  matchup than the last.
