Immokalee has gone 9-1 against Lely recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Thursday. The Immokalee Indians are packing up and heading out on the road for their first away game this season. they will challenge the Lely Trojans at 7:00 p.m.
Immokalee fought the good fight in their extra-innings match against Gulf Coast on Tuesday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They fell just short of the Sharks by a score of 6-5.
Maria Marino put in work no matter where she played. On the mound, she pitched four innings while giving up just one earned (and two unearned) runs off four hits. That's the fewest hits she has allowed since back in April of 2024. She was also big at the plate, going a perfect2-for-2 with one double and one RBI. The dominant performance also gave her a new career-high in hits (two).

In other batting news, Remey Rodriguez made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and scored a run and stole a base while going 3-for-5. The dominant performance also gave her a new career-high in hits (three). Another player making a difference was Sophia Silguero, who scored two runs and stole a base while going 2-for-2.
Even though they lost, Immokalee kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 14 hits. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Gulf Coast only hit nine hits.
Meanwhile, everything went Lely's way against Golden Gate on Tuesday as Lely made off with a 22-7 victory. The win continues a trend for the Trojans in their matchups with the Titans: they've now won seven in a row.
Like Immokalee, Lely also got a great game from a two-way player: Star Orosco. She pitched two innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. Orosco was also stellar in the batter's box, scoring four runs and stealing three bases while getting on base in four of her five plate appearances.
In other batting news, Andrea Lopez-Cruz was incredible, scoring four runs and stealing four bases while getting on base in all four of her plate appearances. Brooke Bledsoe was another key player, scoring two runs while getting on base in four of her five plate appearances.
Everything went Immokalee's way against Lely when the teams last played back in February of 2024, as Immokalee made off with a 17-2 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for Immokalee since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
