The Forest Hills Yellow Jackets entered their tilt with the Anson Bearcats with three consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with four. Forest Hills came out on top in a nail-biter against Anson on Friday and snuck past 22-20. That result was just more of the same for these two, as Forest Hills also won the last time the pair played back in October of 2022.
Forest Hills was led to victory by Brady Hibbard and Rodney Smith. Hibbard threw for 122 yards and a touchdown, while Smith rushed for 46 yards and two touchdowns.
When it comes to explaining why Anson lost, one person who can't be blamed is Jazear Griffin. Despite the final result, he rushed for 95 yards and two touchdowns.
Forest Hills' win bumped their record up to 10-1. As for Anson, they now have a losing record at 5-6.
