After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Stony Brook, the Kew Forest Jaguars were happy to have found some success on Tuesday. They blew past Schechter, posting a 71-31 win at home. The high flying offensive effort was a huge turnaround for Kew Forest considering their ten-point performance the matchup before.
Kew Forest's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Joshua Paz led the charge by scoring 24 points. That makes it eight consecutive games in which Paz has scored at least a third of Kew Forest's points. Another player making a difference was Sebastien Celestin, who scored 18 points.
Kew Forest's win bumped their record up to 4-10. As for Schechter, they still haven't won a game yet this season and fell to 0-4.
Kew Forest won't have much time to rest: their next game is against the Panthers at 4:00 p.m. on January 31st. One thing working in Portledge's favor is that they have posted big point totals every time they've taken the court this season. Schechter does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
