The Wolfe City Wolves's road trip will continue as they head out to face the Prairiland Patriots at 4:20 p.m. on December 28th. Given that the pair suffered a loss in their last game, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this contest.
Last Tuesday, Wolfe City was the victim of a rough 50-26 defeat at the hands of Honey Grove. While losing is never fun, Wolfe City can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 793rd, while Honey Grove is ranked 389th).
Meanwhile, Prairiland's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Thursday after their fourth straight loss. They had to suffer through a rough 66-24 loss at the hands of Edgewood. Prairiland was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 35-7.
Wolfe City's defeat dropped their record down to 8-10. As for Prairiland, they have not been sharp recently, as they've lost six of their last seven contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 10-9 record this season.
Wolfe City strolled past Prairiland in their previous matchup back in November of 2022 by a score of 56-38. Does Wolfe City have another victory up their sleeve, or will Prairiland turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
