Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only Eagle Valley walked away with it. They came out on top against the Regis Groff Fusion by a score of 37-27 on Wednesday. The win was familiar territory for the Devils, who have now won five contests in a row.

Eagle Valley had a senior duo take command as Abby Talbot shot 42% from the field on her way to 11 points in addition to eight boards and five steals and Addison Mandeville posted eight points and seven steals. Talbot is becoming a predictor of Eagle Valley's success: when she posts at least three steals the team is 8-3 (and 5-8 when she doesn't). The team also got some help courtesy of Lily Mullholland-Brueck, who earned five points.

Eagle Valley smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 13 offensive boards. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved their offensive rebound total in three consecutive matches.

Despite the loss, Regis Groff still got an impressive performance from Alexandria Mims, who dropped a double-double with 12 points and ten rebounds.

Eagle Valley's victory bumped their record up to 13-11. As for Regis Groff, their loss dropped their record down to 12-12.

Eagle Valley didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 61-30 defeat against Roosevelt on the 1st. Regis Groff does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
