The Vanguard College Prep Lions can finally bid farewell to their five-game losing streak thanks to their game on Tuesday. They took their matchup at home with ease, bagging a 72-5 victory over Don Pedro. With that win, Vanguard College Prep brought their scoring average up to 50.5 points per game.
Vanguard College Prep found their leader in underclassman Gustavo Mora, who scored 18 points along with five steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Michael Muriithi, who scored ten points along with seven rebounds and seven steals.
Vanguard College Prep's victory bumped their record up to 5-16. As for Don Pedro, they still haven't won a game yet this season and fell to 0-12.
Vanguard College Prep will head out on the road to face off against Humphreys Able Charter at 6:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Don Pedro, they will look to defend their home court on Thursday against Tioga at 5:00 p.m. Tioga comes in on a streak of failing to score more than 25 points in their last three games, a trend the team is of course eager to reverse.
