After losing to the Northwest Mohawks the last time they met, the Green Bobcats decided to demonstrate that turnabout is fair play. Green secured a 39-34 W over Northwest on Wednesday. The win made it back-to-back wins for Green.
Abbie Knapp continued her habit of posting crazy stat lines, almost dropping a double-double on 20 points and nine rebounds. That makes it nine consecutive games in which she has scored at least a third of Green's points. Matti Hayslip was another key contributor, scoring five points along with four steals.
Green has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four contests, which provided a nice bump to their 12-8 record this season. As for Northwest, their loss dropped their record down to 8-13.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Green will take on Clay at 4:00 p.m. on Saturday. Clay and Green are at an even 5-5 over their past ten head-to-heads. As for Northwest, they won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against Western at 6:00 p.m. on February 8th. Northwest is facing Western at the right time seeing as Western is stuck on a eight-game losing streak.
