Meredith Dearman spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered just two earned (and three unearned) runs on six hits and racked up 12 Ks.
At the plate, Enterprise saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Marlee Brannan, who scored a run while going 2-for-4.
Even though they lost, Enterprise didn't let batters stay on the plate for long and finished the game with 12 strikeouts. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as West Marion didn't tossed any.
On West Marion's side, they also let their pitcher toss all seven innings and she was also dialed-in: Izzy Pittman gave up two runs (both of which were unearned) on seven hits. Pittman has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't pitched less than five innings in four consecutive pitching appearances.
On the hitting side, Laleigh Duncan was excellent, scoring a run while going 2-for-2. Gracie Odom was another key contributor, scoring a run and stealing a base while going 2-for-4.
Enterprise's loss dropped their record down to 15-10-1. As for West Marion, the victory (which was their fifth in a row) raised their record to 18-6-1.
As of now, neither Enterprise nor West Marion have any future games scheduled.
