Despite the defeat, Millard South saw an underclassman step up: Koby Meyers scored 15 points along with five rebounds and two steals. Carter Margheim was another key contributor, scoring eight points along with two steals.
Omaha Northwest has been struggling recently as they've lost six of their last seven matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-14 record this season. As for Millard South, their loss dropped their record down to 6-10.
This contest is one where the number of possessions is likely to be a big factor: Omaha Northwest have been smashing the glass this season, having averaged 24.4 rebounds per game. However, it's not like Millard South struggles in that department as they've been averaging 30.8 rebounds per game. Given these competing strengths, it'll be interesting to see how their clash plays out.
