Amity Regional put another one in the bag on Thursday to keep their perfect season alive. They came out on top in a nail-biter against the North Haven Nighthawks, sneaking past 4-2. This was payback for the Spartans, who suffered a 3-1 loss the last time these two teams met.
Amara Forstrom was a major factor while hitting and pitching. On the mound, she tossed three innings while giving up just one earned (and one unearned) run off three hits. Forstrom was also solid in the batter's box, scoring a run while going 2-for-3.
In other batting news, Morgan Luddy was excellent, scoring two runs and stealing two bases while going 1-for-2. Luddy is crushing it when it comes to stolen bases: she's snagged at least one every time she's taken the field this season.
