Shomper Made His Presence Known in Williams Valley's 47-0 Win
Starting off the list is Williams Valley's Brady Shomper, who we judged to be the best player in the league this week. Shomper threw for 224 yards and four touchdowns on perfect 9-for-9 passing, and also rushed for 66 yards and two touchdowns on only seven carries.
This season, Shomper has thrown 17 touchdowns while averaging 168.3 passing yards per game. He's made a big improvement compared to last season: at this point last year, he was only averaging 23.71 passing yards per game.

Schuylkill Haven picked up their sixth consecutive win on Friday thanks in part to Niko Carestia. His rushing production has been exceptional recently as that marked his sixth straight game with at least 180 rushing yards dating back to last season.
Schuylkill Haven pushed their record up to 6-1 with the win, which was their seventh straight on the road dating back to last season. Carestia and Schuylkill Haven will venture away from home to take on Pine Grove at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.

Niko Castillo Delivers Best Effort of Season
Niko Castillo produced his most outstanding game to date while leading Schuylkill Haven to the win on Friday. Castillo rushed for 133 yards and three touchdowns on only eight carries. His longest rush was for an impressive 57 yards, which helps to explain his lofty yards per carry total.
On the season, Castillo has run in 8 touchdowns while averaging 65.4 rushing yards per game. He is looking even better than he did last year: after seven games last season, he was only averaging 2.14 rushing yards per game.

Big Game from Gemberling As Tri-Valley Won 42-0
Cole Gemberling was a major factor in Tri-Valley's victory over Shenandoah Valley on Friday. Gemberling was unstoppable, rushing for 111 yards and two touchdowns on only 11 carries.
If the past is any indication, Gemberling could be in store for another big game when he takes on Mahanoy Area on Friday. Gemberling rushed for 168 yards and a touchdown the last time he and the Golden Bears duked it out back in October of 2023.

The second Williams Valley player making an appearance here is Fletcher Thompson, and for good reason. He rushed for 174 yards and a touchdown on only 12 carries.
