It was a good run, but the Northwest Mohawks unfortunately witnessed the end of their five-game winning streak on Saturday. They took a 59-47 hit to the loss column at the hands of South Webster. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Northwest has scored all season.
Eli Roberts continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines for South Webster, dropping a double-double on 29 points and ten rebounds. The matchup was Roberts' fourth in a row with at least ten points. Tyler Sommer was another key contributor, scoring nine points.
Northwest's defeat dropped their record down to 5-1. As for South Webster, they pushed their record up to 4-0 with that win, which was their third straight on the road.
Northwest will take on Valley at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. South Webster will be home for the holidays to greet South Gallia at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. South Gallia will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Ohio Rankings (they are ranked 289th, while South Webster is ranked 71st).
