The Belleview Christian Bruins lost against the Lyons Lions back in October of 2022, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. Belleview Christian took a serious blow against Lyons, falling 64-8. Belleview Christian was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 42-8.
Jagga Sandhu threw for 112 yards and a touchdown on only nine passes. Matthew Norman was his top target, picking up 84 receiving yards and a touchdown.
Leading Lyons to victory were Miles Dumbauld and Malik Sigg-Brown. Dumbauld threw for 116 yards and two touchdowns, while Sigg-Brown rushed for 137 yards and two touchdowns on only five carries. Sigg-Brown was no stranger to the big play, taking off on a dash that went for 60 yards. Finn Oetting made the highlight reel by snagging an interception and taking it all the way to the house.
Belleview Christian now has a losing record at 4-5. As for Lyons, the win for they keeps them at an undefeated 9-0.
