North Duplin had a rough outing against Lakewood last Friday, but a little bit of home cooking seems to have fixed things right up. North Duplin took down Union 23-6.
North Duplin started the game off right with 21 first-half points. Union countered with 6 points, leaving the score at 21-6 going into the half. The other side of the ball continued to do well for North Duplin in the second half and held Union to 0 points.
North Duplin found North Duplin's leader in underclassman sophomore Gage Outlaw, who rushed for 116 yards and 1 touchdown. Senior Kijah Blow was in the mix, too, providing North Duplin with two touchdowns.
Both teams are staying within the conference for their upcoming matches. North Duplin will stay at home next week against Princeton at 7:00 PM. Princeton have averaged 69 points over the course of their past six games, so North Duplin might be in for a challenge. As for Union, they will face off against Rosewood.
