St. Patrick's won against Hershey last Friday with 48 points, and St. Patrick's decided to stick to that point total again on Friday. St. Patrick's steamrollered Bridgeport 48-7. St. Patrick's were expected to win, but the margin was definitely larger than the state rankings had forecast.
It took a quarter to shake off the cobwebs, but after zero first-quarter points, the St. Patrick's offense picked up 14 points in the second quarter. Bridgeport countered with 7 points, leaving the score at 14-7 going into the half. St. Patrick's put the match away in the third quarter with 14 points from the offense and zero points allowed from the defense. The win got them back to even at 3-3. The defeat dropped Bridgeport's record to 1-5.
Next week St. Patrick's take on Mitchell at 6:00 PM. Mitchell also lit up the scoreboard in their last game, so this could be a high-scoring game. Bridgeport will stay at home against Southern Valley at 5:00 PM. Given that they both suffered a loss in their last game, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this contest.
