Mid-State - Buckeye recap October 29, 2013
Hamilton Township scaled the state rankings by moving to 168 from 201 this week, the biggest jump in Mid-State - Buckeye. The Rangers were able to move up by defeating Bloom-Carroll 46-0.
Circleville added to the longest winning streak in the league this week by beating Liberty Union, 20-14. This was the team's fifth consecutive win.
Liberty Union's offense cannot be tamed this season and the Lions feature the season leaders in passing, rushing and receiving yards. AUSTIN VANNATTA has thrown for 1,321 yards and 9 touchdowns this season, while ADAM SNYDER has 33 catches for 492 yards.
JACOB BASSO of the the Lions is only 46 yards short of surpassing 1,000 rushing yards for the season. In 169 carries BASSO has put up 954 yards this year.
An important game coming up in the league this week will be when Logan Elm takes on Hamilton Township. As it stands, the Braves are in first, while Nathan Hillerich's team is in fourth.
The Rangers took down the Bulldogs 46-0 last week, the largest margin of any game.
