Hagen Hughes' Big Game Leads Azle over Fossil Ridge
Hagen Hughes's big game helped extend Azle's winning streak to six on Friday. Hughes did his part (and then some), rushing for 222 yards and two touchdowns while picking up 11.7 yards per carry, and also picking up 57 receiving yards for the 'W'. He really tore up the turf during one magnificent 70-yard run.
Azle pushed their record up to 6-0 with the victory, which was their fifth straight on the road dating back to last season. Hughes and Azle will challenge Ryan at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.

Gavin Beard Crosses Big Stat Threshold
Gavin Beard produced his most outstanding game to date while leading Aledo to the win on Friday. Beard threw for 290 yards and five touchdowns while completing 83.3% of his passes. Thanks to that strong showing, he's now averaging 3.2 passing touchdowns per game. What's more, he also racked up ten rushing yards, the mosthe's had since back in September of 2023.
The victory was the sixth in a row for Aledo, bringing their record for this year to 6-1. Beard and Aledo will get to enjoy the win for a while: their next game is against Richland at 7:00 p.m. on October 25th.
