After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Broughton, Corinth Holders was happy to have turned things around on Friday. They took their matchup with ease, bagging a 36-0 victory over the Wakefield Wolverines. Considering the Pirates' offense had been struggling lately, the high-scoring outing was a much-needed turnaround.

Blake Beckwith had a dynamite game, rushing for 133 yards and one score while picking up 7.8 yards per carry. Carter Lawson also helped out with an impressive 84 receiving yards.

Corinth Holders' run defense was locked in: Wakefield could only muster three yards per carry. The team can thank Jordan Ashworth for the heroic effort on defense: he. Corinth Holders' run defense has been on the up-and-up: they allowed 4.53 yards per carry earlier this season, but they've only allowed 4.47 on average over their last three games.

Corinth Holders' win was their first in the conference, bumping their conference record up to 1-2 and their overall record up to 3-3. As for Wakefield, they are on a 12-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-6.
