East Webster has gone a perfect 4-0 against Aberdeen recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Thursday. East Webster is taking a road trip to challenge Aberdeen at 6:30 p.m. East Webster will be strutting in after a win while Aberdeen will be coming in after a loss.

East Webster is headed into the contest having just posted their closest victory since February 24th on Tuesday. They came out on top in a nail-biter against South Pontotoc, sneaking past 5-4. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Wolverines.

Jasie Rae Flora was a major factor no matter where she played. On the mound, she pitched two innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. She has been consistent recently: she hasn't given up more than one earned run in three consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate, going 2-for-3 with one stolen base and one RBI.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Alyssa McCoy, who scored a run and stole a base while going 3-for-3. What's more, she posted two RBI, the most she's had since back in April of 2024. Another player making a difference was Faith Edwards, who scored two runs while going 2-for-3.

East Webster was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .480. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as South Pontotoc only posted a batting average of .200.

Meanwhile, Tuesday just wasn't the day for Aberdeen's offense. They came up short against Nettleton on Tuesday, falling 13-0. The Bulldogs just can't catch a break and have now endured three defeats in a row.

East Webster pushed their record up to 13-8 with the win, which was their fourth straight at home. Those victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.0 runs on average over those games. As for Aberdeen, their loss dropped their record down to 4-10.

Everything went East Webster's way against Aberdeen in their previous matchup last Monday, as East Webster made off with a 15-0 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for East Webster since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
