The Lennard Longhorns will square off against the Steinbrenner Warriors at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday. Both come into the matchup bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
Lennard took a loss when they played away from home on Saturday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Tuesday. They had just enough and edged out Sumner 2-1.

Lennard got a great performance from Jv Brennick as he pitched 5.1 innings while giving up just one earned run off two hits. The Longhorns are 4-2 when Brennick allows two or fewer earned runs, but 4-9 otherwise.
At the plate, Lennard saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Peyton Newman, who went 1-for-2 with one RBI.
Meanwhile, after only two runs in their last game, Steinbrenner made sure to put some runs up on the board against Robinson on Thursday. The Warriors came out on top against the Knights by a score of 11-7. The Warriors haven't had any issues with the Knights recently, as the game was their sixth consecutive victory against them.
Jackson Winterberg looked comfortable as he tossed 1.2 innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. The dominant performance also gave him a new career-high in strikeouts (four).
On the hitting side, Nick Osborne was incredible, scoring two runs while going 4-for-5. Those four hits gave him a new career-high. Will Hoblitzell was another key player, scoring two runs while getting on base in three of his five plate appearances.
Steinbrenner kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 15 hits. They are a perfect 5-0 when they post 11 or more hits.
Lennard has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four contests. That's provided a massive bump to their 8-11 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 4.0 runs on average over those games. As for Steinbrenner, their victory bumped their record up to 12-9.
Lennard was able to grind out a solid win over Steinbrenner in their previous matchup back in February of 2024, winning 5-1. Will the Longhorns repeat their success, or do the Warriors have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
