Covington dropped down to 4-6 on Tuesday, ending the team's three-game streak of wins. They fell just short of the Bolivar Central Tigers by a score of 5-4. The Chargers were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Tigers earlier this season, when they won 14-4.

As for Bolivar Central, they now have a winning record of 4-3. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory they have posted since April 29, 2025.

For Bolivar Central's part, they saw seven different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Libby Smith, who went 1-for-4 with one home run and two RBI. That home run marked the first that Smith has launched this season. Another was Addyson Smith, who went 2-for-3 with one run and one double.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Covington will face off against rival Millington Central at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Meanwhile, Bolivar Central is set to challenge their familiar foe Brighton at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday.
