The Liberty Charter Patriots will head out on the road to face off against Vision at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Liberty Charter's defense has only allowed 27.3 points per game this season, so Vision's offense will have their work cut out for them.
Liberty Charter was handed a 20-point defeat in their previous outing, but they didn't let that bad energy affect their game against Centennial Baptist on Tuesday. Liberty Charter skirted past Centennial Baptist 2-0. Despite the win, that was the fewest points Liberty Charter has scored all season.
Meanwhile, Vision didn't have too much breathing room in their matchup against North Star on Thursday, but they still walked away with a 37-31 victory. The win was just what Vision needed coming off of a 55-24 loss in their prior contest.
Vision found their leader in underclassman Raelynn Nickel, who dropped a double-double on 19 points and 12 rebounds. Nickel is absolutely dominating the steal category: she's posted at least two every time she's taken the court this season. The team also got some help courtesy of Angel Gutierrez, who scored eight points along with five rebounds and three steals.
Liberty Charter is on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven games, which provided a nice bump to their 8-4 record this season. As for Vision, their victory bumped their record up to 7-4.
Everything came up roses for Liberty Charter against Vision when the teams last played back in February of 2023 as the squad secured a 50-17 victory. With Liberty Charter ahead 27-6 at the half, the game was all but over already.
