York-Adams II recap Oct. 9, 2012
West York Area extended the longest winning streak in York-Adams II this week by beating Susquehannock, 42-0. This was the team's sixth consecutive win.
Northeastern moved up to 215 from 250 in the state rankings this week, the biggest jump in the league. The Bobcats were able to make the jump by beating New Oxford 28-14.
West York Area's dynamic duo of Brandon Kinneman and Zach Smith proved tough for the Warriors to stop, as they were the top passer and receiver in the league this week. Kinneman threw for 161 yards and two touchdowns and Smith had 95 yards receiving. Brock Snellbaker helped West York Area's passing attack out by catching two balls for 65 yards.
Daniel Adams was the most productive running back in the league this week. In 20 carries, he ran for 152 yards as Northeastern bested Susquehannock. Jordan Kearse also contributed to the rushing game with 74 yards on the ground.
The Bulldogs' Kinneman and Smith have formed a dynamic duo this season, leading York-Adams II in both passing and receiving yards. Kinneman has thrown for 681 yards this season, while Smith, a 6-foot-1 receiver, has 31 catches for 539 yards. Adams from Brendan Brown's team leads the league in rushing with 766 yards.
A big matchup in the league this week will be when West York Area takes on Dover. The Bulldogs are in first place, while the Eagles are in third place.
There should be lots of points scored when West York Area and Dover face off this week. The top two offenses in the league, the Bulldogs comes in having scored 186 this season, while Bill Miller's team has scored 150. West York Area scored 42 points last week as it beat Bill Kerr's team.
The Eagles and Kennard-Dale played the most hotly contested game in the league this week, with the Eagles eventually emerging with a 20-14 victory. Isaiah Green ran for 133 yards in the win.
