Hopefully King's Academy focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 29 on Thursday.

King's Academy has struggled against East Texas Homeschool Sports recently, as their contest on Thursday was their fourth consecutive lost matchup.
The losing side was boosted by Everett Hollis, who scored 21 points along with five blocks. He has been hot recently, having posted two or more blocks the last nine times he's played. Jordan Tucker was another key contributor, scoring ten points.
Tyler Classical Academy suffered their biggest defeat since November 7, 2023 on Friday. They took a serious blow against Leverett's Chapel, falling 68-36. Tyler Classical Academy was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 32-8.
The loss doesn't tell the whole story though, as several players had good games. One of the most active was John Cooksy, who scored ten points.
King's Academy has traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost nine of their last 11 games, which put a noticeable dent in their 7-16 record this season. As for Tyler Classical Academy, their loss dropped their record down to 2-8.
Friday's matchup is shaping up to be a scrappy match: King's Academy have been smashing the glass this season, having only averaged 27.5 rebounds per game. It's a different story for Tyler Classical Academy, though, as they've been averaging only 4.3 rebounds per game. Given King's Academy's sizeable advantage in that area, Tyler Classical Academy will need to find a way to close that gap.
King's Academy didn't have too much breathing room in their match against Tyler Classical Academy in their previous meeting back in December of 2023, but they still walked away with a 49-43 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for King's Academy since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
