The Riverdale Warriors's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Saturday after their seventh straight loss. They took a 60-50 hit to the loss column at the hands of LEAD Academy.
Anthony Petway continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines for LEAD Academy, scoring 27 points along with eight rebounds and three steals. That's the first time this season that Petway pulled down eight or more rebounds. Another player making a difference was Darnell Seay, who scored 11 points along with eight rebounds.
Riverdale has traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost 13 of their last 15 contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 6-14 record this season. As for LEAD Academy, their win bumped their record up to 12-9.
Riverdale will head out on the road to square off against Oakland at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. As for LEAD Academy, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Pearl-Cohn at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
