Softball Recap: Clara Burke Leads a Balanced Attack to Beat Reeltown

Beulah and Reeltown pushed the score to 13-7 the last time they played Reeltown, but on Thursday defenses reigned supreme. The Bobcats never let the Rebels get on the board and left with a 4-0 victory. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 13-7 back in March.

Not much got past Madyson Snedigar, who gave up just five hits to keep Reeltown off the board. Snedigar has been consistent recently: she hasn't given up more than one earned run in three consecutive appearances.

At the plate, Beulah saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Clara Burke, who went 1-for-2 with one double and one RBI. That double marked the first that Burke hit this season.

Beulah's win bumped their record up to 12-14-1. As for Reeltown, they have been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 5-11 record this season.

Beulah will square off against Munford at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Reeltown, they will challenge Handley at 6:00 p.m. on Monday.
