The Green Forest Tigers's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Thursday after their 12th straight loss. They ended up on the wrong side of a tough 63-39 walloping at the hands of Valley Springs. Green Forest has struggled against Valley Springs recently, as their game on Thursday was their fourth consecutive lost matchup.
Several Tigers players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Brayden Compton, who scored seven points along with 11 rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Sebastian Holsted, who scored 12 points.
Green Forest has been struggling recently, as they've lost 14 of their last 15 matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-19 record this season. As for Valley Springs, their victory ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 27-9.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Green Forest won't have much time to rest: their next game is against Bergman at 6:00 p.m. on January 26th. Bergman is coming into the game hot, having won their last four games. As for Valley Springs, they will be playing in front of their home fans against West Fork at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. West Fork is also coming in off of a big victory, so somebody is in for a big reversal of fortune.
