Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Chapman). They simply couldn't be stopped on Thursday as they easily beat the Greer Middle College Blazers 74-25. The game was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 34-9.
Krislyn Wilder was her usual excellent self, going 9 for 13 on her way to 19 points in addition to five assists and five boards. With that strong performance, she is now averaging an impressive 2.1 steals per game. The team also got some help courtesy of Annastyn Smith, who went 6 of 10 on her way to 14 points along with six rebounds and three steals.
They weren't the only one working in the assists department: Chapman was working as a unit and finished the game with 12 assists. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved their assist total in three consecutive matchups.
With the win, Chapman broke their three-game losing streak and moved their record to 8-9. As for Greer Middle College, their loss was their fourth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 3-11.
