The Sherman Bearcats suffered their biggest defeat since December 5, 2023 on Friday. They were outmatched by McKinney North at home and fell 67-25. McKinney North had a senior duo take command as Kaelyn Hamilton scored 24 points along with nine rebounds and six steals and Ciara Harris dropped a double-double on 16 points and 19 rebounds. Hamilton is on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in the last five games she's played. Ryhan Balous was another key contributor, scoring 13 points along with five rebounds and two steals.
Sherman has been struggling recently, as they've lost seven of their last eight contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-17 record this season. As for McKinney North, they pushed their record up to 22-10 with that win, which was their 15th straight on the road.
Sherman will square off against Lovejoy at 5:45 p.m. on Tuesday. Lovejoy has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games. As for McKinney North, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Denison at 5:45 p.m. on Tuesday.
