Chiawana extended their winning streak to 11 games thanks to a huge performance from Kaia Foster. The Chiawana Riverhawks simply couldn't be stopped on Saturday as they easily beat the Hanford Falcons 73-22 thanks in part to Foster, who went 8 for 13 on her way to 19 points and seven rebounds. Her afternoon made it four games in a row in which she has scored at least ten points.
The team also got some help courtesy of Eva Thompson, who posted six points. That's the most points she has posted since back in February of 2024.
Chiawana pushed their record up to 11-1 with the win, which was their fifth straight at home. As for Hanford, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-9.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Chiawana will get to enjoy the win for a while: their next game is against Hermiston at 5:45 p.m. on January 21st. As for Hanford, they will square off against Eisenhower at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
