The Ralston Rams will square off against the Blair Bears at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. The two teams are sauntering into the matchup backed by comfortable wins in their prior games.
If Ralston beats Blair with ten runs on Thursday, it's going to be the team's new lucky number: they've won their past two matchups with that exact score. The Rams blew past York 10-4 on Tuesday. Considering the Rams have won five contests by more than five runs this season, Tuesday's blowout was nothing new.
Nick Benis spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered only one earned (and three unearned) runs on six hits.

At the plate, Bryson Sargent was a standout: he scored three runs and stole a base while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances. He is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as he's now snagged at least one in each of the last four games he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Landon Graham, who went 2-for-3 with four RBI and one run.
Ralston always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .514. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as York only posted an OBP of .333.
Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Blair). They were the clear victors by an 11-1 margin over Omaha North on Wednesday. The victory continues a trend for the Bears in their matchups with the Vikings: they've now won three in a row.
Brevin Leggott was incredible, scoring two runs and stealing two bases while getting on base in all three of his plate appearances. He also put up a double, which was his first of the season. Nelson Kosch was another key player, scoring two runs and stealing two bases while going 2-for-2.
Ralston's win was their fifth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 8-3. The home victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 9.4 runs over those games. As for Blair, their win bumped their record up to 3-7.
Blair's pitching crew has a crucial task ahead of them: Ralston has hit smart this season, having averaged an OBP of .438. It's a different story for Blair, though, as they've only averaged .346. Will they be able to contain Ralston's hitters?
Ralston suffered a grim 11-2 defeat to Blair when the teams last played back in April of 2024. Will the Rams have more luck at home instead of on the road? Check MaxPreps after the action for a full breakdown of the game and more baseball content.
