They walked away with a 21-14 victory over Liberty Ranch. For Union Mine, this counts as revenge for the 23-6 defeat Liberty Ranch walked away with the last time they faced one another back in October of 2022.
Among those leading the charge was Jayden Tinker, who rushed for 160 yards and a touchdown. Brock Buak iii also deserves a shout-out for his two touchdowns.
Union Mine is on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five matches, which provided a nice bump to their 7-2 record this season. As for Liberty Ranch, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 4-4.
Union Mine will be playing in front of their home fans against El Dorado at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. El Dorado will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps California Rankings (they are ranked 679th, while Union Mine is ranked 338th). Liberty Ranch is on the road again on Friday and play against Galt at 7:30 p.m. on October 27th. Galt has now lost seven straight, and the team is hunting for their first win since August 25th.
