The Seymour Thunder will square off against the Fox Valley Lutheran Fox at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. Both teams are coming into the game red-hot, with Seymour sitting on ten straight victories and Fox Valley Lutheran on 14.
Seymour is headed in fresh off scoring the most runs they have all season. They never let Menasha get on the board and left with a 15-0 win on Tuesday. Considering the Thunder have won six matchups by more than five runs this season, Tuesday's blowout was nothing new.
Kendra Rettler was a major factor while hitting and pitching. On the mound, she didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only one hit over four innings pitched. She has been consistent for a while: she hasn't given up more than two walks any time she's pitched this season. She was also big at the plate, going 2-for-3 with two runs and one double.
In other batting news, Lyla Schueler was incredible, going a perfect 3-for-3 with one home run, three RBI, and two runs. That's the most runs she has posted since back in May of 2025. Another player making a difference was Adde Smith, who went 3-for-4 with three runs and one RBI.
Seymour was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .613. That was just more of the same: they've now posted a batting average of .300 or higher in seven consecutive contests.
Meanwhile, after only two runs in their last game, Fox Valley Lutheran made sure to put some runs up on the board against New London on Tuesday. The Fox put the hurt on the Bulldogs with a sharp 18-2 victory. The Fox might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won 11 matchups by eight runs or more this season.
Fox Valley Lutheran's win bumped their record up to 14-0. As for Seymour, their victory bumped their record up to 12-2.
