The North Wilkes Vikings will be playing at home against the Forbush Falcons at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. North Wilkes will be looking to extend their current nine-game winning streak.
Last Friday, North Wilkes' game was all tied up 21-21 at the half, but luckily for them it didn't stay that way. They walked away with a 47-36 win over Surry Central. Given North Wilkes' advantage in MaxPreps' North Carolina basketball rankings (they are ranked 22nd, while Surry Central is ranked 193rd), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Meanwhile, Forbush was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap on Friday as they fell 48-44 to East Surry.
North Wilkes is on a roll lately: they've won 14 of their last 15 games, which provided a nice bump to their 19-3 record this season. As for Forbush, their defeat dropped their record down to 16-6.
North Wilkes skirted past Forbush 43-40 in their previous matchup back in January. Will North Wilkes repeat their success, or does Forbush have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
