Quin Graves and Garryn Chowns provided fans with a highlight when they connected against Madison. The connection was good for 61 yards, the longest such play in 1A District 2 this season.
Ouachita Christian's Ahkeem Henderson recorded the longest rushing play in the league this season in his game against the Jaguars last week. Henderson scampered for 51 yards on the play and finished with 77 on the day as his team topped Madison.
Ouachita Christian's dynamic duo of Graves and Chowns proved tough for Chris Herring's team to stop, as they were the top passer and receiver in the league this week. Graves threw for 221 yards and 2 touchdowns and Chowns had 127 yards receiving. Reed Robertson helped Ouachita Christian's passing attack out by catching 3 balls for 51 yards.
Steven Fitzhugh's team's dynamic duo of Graves and Chowns proved to be unstoppable against the Jaguars, as they were the top passer and receiver in the league this week.
Graves put up the best numbers in passing as the Eagles beat Madison.
He was 14-19 with 0 interceptions.
Chowns was the best receiver in the league this week as Ouachita Christian beat the Jaguars.
Christian Colvin was the most successful running back in 1A District 2 this week. In 21 carries, he ran for 189 yards as Delhi Charter topped Madison. Teammate Kole Stracener added to the ground attack by rushing for 60 yards.
Leading the league in both passing and receiving yards, Ouachita Christian's Graves and Chowns have proven to be a lethal combination. 6-2 quarterback Graves has thrown for 375 yards this season, while Chowns has 7 catches for 163 yards. The Gators' Colvin leads the league in rushing yards with 231.
Mangham scaled the state rankings by moving to 93 from 131 this week, the biggest jump in the league. The Dragons climbed the ranks as a result of besting Richwood 49-14.
