Volleyball Recap: Venice's Victory on Tuesday Extends Winning Streak to Five

It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but Venice had no problem doing just that on Tuesday. They were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over the Lehigh Lightning. Winning may never get old, but the Indians sure are getting used to it with their fifth in a row.

Not only was the match a shutout, it was a big one: Venice took every set by at least 17 points. The match finished with set scores of 25-8, 25-7, 25-8.

Tien Murray paced Venice's offense, picking up eight kills. Murray got some help from Amelia Anselmi and her 28 assists.

Venice's win bumped their record up to 14-12. As for Lehigh, they moved to 12-8 with that defeat, which also ended their seven-match winning streak.

Looking ahead, Venice will face off against Riverview Sarasota at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Lehigh does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
