The Westside Wolverines posted their biggest win yet this season on Saturday. They put the hurt on St. Joseph Academy with a sharp 63-37 victory. Westside didn't have much to brag about two games back, but this win makes it their second in a row.
Jaylen Mitchell continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, dropping a double-double on 15 points and 14 rebounds. Mitchell is absolutely dominating the rebound category: he's posted at least eight every time he's taken the court this season.
Westside's win bumped their record up to 4-16. As for St. Joseph Academy, their defeat dropped their record down to 7-9.
Westside on the road again on Thursday and play against Bishop Snyder at 7:30 p.m. on January 18th. As for St. Joseph Academy, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Christ's Church Academy at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. Christ's Church Academy has now lost seven straight, and the team is hunting for their first win since December 19.
