With a playoff win on the line, St. Stanislaus rose to the challenge  on Tuesday. They blew past the Wesson Cobras 12-5. The Rock-a-Chaws might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won 14 games by six  runs or more this season.
St. Stanislaus got a  massive  performance out of  Stephen Hutchison, who  went 2-for-5 with three  stolen bases, three  RBI,  and two  runs. That's the most  hits  Hutchison has posted since April 5th.  Brooks Ilgenfritz was another key player,  getting on base  in all four of his plate appearances with two  runs and two  RBI.
 St. Stanislaus  always had someone on base and  finished the game having  posted an OBP of .537. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Wesson only posted  an  OBP of  .371.
St. Stanislaus is  on a roll lately: they've  won six of their last eight contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 22-13 record  this season. The  wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as  they  averaged 10.8 runs over those games. As for Wesson, their defeat  ended  a  nine-game streak of wins at home  and  dropped them to 19-9.
 Coming up, St. Stanislaus will face off against Seminary at 7:00  p.m.  on Friday. The two teams have allowed few  runs on average (the Rock-a-Chaws 3.5, the Bulldogs 2.7) so any  runs scored will be well earned. Wesson does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
