The Lee Central Stallions will look to defend their home court against the Andrews Yellowjackets at 6:00 p.m. Hopefully Lee Central is not getting complacent, as they presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than the Yellowjackets in South Carolina (the Stallions are ranked 67th, while the Yellowjackets are ranked 268th).
Last Friday, even if it wasn't a dominant performance, Lee Central beat the Auctioneers 33-28.
Hannah Reames was her usual excellent self, scoring 11 points along with three steals and two blocks. She has been hot recently, having posted two or more blocks the last four times she's played. Another player making a difference was Ja'niya Slater, who scored six points along with six steals.
Meanwhile, Andrews' recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their 12th straight defeat. They were beaten by Kingstree 57-13. Andrews has struggled against the Blazers recently, as their contest on Friday was their sixth consecutive lost matchup.
Lee Central's win bumped their record up to 17-3. As for Andrews, their loss was their 16th straight at home dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 1-14.
Everything came up roses for Lee Central against the Yellowjackets in their previous matchup back in January as the squad secured a 61-11 victory. With Lee Central ahead 35-8 at the half, the matchup was all but over already.
