Scott Central is 4-0 against Clarkdale since January of 2015, and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Tuesday. The Scott Central Rebels will head out on the road to take on the Clarkdale Bulldogs at 6:00 p.m. Given that the two teams suffered a loss in their last game, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this match.
Last Saturday, Scott Central came up short against Lake and fell 50-42.
The loss doesn't tell the whole story though, as several players had good games. One of the most active was Mariah Bulter, who scored 14 points. She continues to roll, besting her previous point total in each of the last three games she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Aniyah James, who scored eight points along with seven rebounds and three steals.
Even though they lost, Scott Central were working as a unit and finished the game with 13 assists. That's the most assists they've managed all season.
Meanwhile, Clarkdale's recent rough patch got a bit rougher last Friday after their eighth straight loss. They took a serious blow against Scott Central, falling 59-31. Clarkdale has not had much luck with Scott Central recently, as the team's come up short the last three times they've met.
Scott Central's loss dropped their record down to 12-9. As for Clarkdale, they bumped their record down to 2-16 with that loss, which was their 15th straight on the road.
Everything came up roses for Scott Central against Clarkdale in their previous meeting last Friday as the squad secured a 59-31 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for Scott Central since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
