Basketball Recap: Spring Hill Falls Despite Big Games from Meshari Goodman and Emma Sharp

Spring Hill was the 53-46 winner over Warren County when they last played one another back in January of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Spring Hill Raiders fell to the Warren County Pioneers & Lady Pioneers 40-36.

Spring Hill's loss shouldn't obscure the performances of Emma Sharp, who posted 11 points along with six assists and three steals, and Meshari Goodman, who earned nine points in addition to six boards and four steals. Goodman has been hot recently, having also posted two or more blocks the last three times she's played. Another player making a difference was Audrey Wooldridge, who put up seven points.

Spring Hill has been struggling recently as they've lost eight of their last ten games, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-11 record this season. As for Warren County, their victory ended a four-game drought on the road and puts them at 4-7.

Spring Hill will venture away from home to face off against Lincoln County at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Lincoln County knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past four matches -- so hopefully Spring Hill likes a good challenge. As for Warren County, they will host Shelbyville Central at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
