After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Woodstock, Belvidere was happy to have turned things around on Friday. They skirted past the Jefferson J-Hawks 4-3. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 9-8 on Wednesday.

Gio Urbietta was excellent, going a perfect 2-for-2 with four stolen bases. That's the most hits he has posted since back in April.

Belvidere has been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six games. That's provided a massive bump to their 7-18 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 7.7 runs over those games. As for Jefferson, their defeat was their 11th straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 3-15.

Looking ahead, Belvidere will take on Belvidere North at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. The Bucs are facing the Blue Thunder at the right time seeing as the Blue Thunder are stuck on a three-game losing streak. As for Jefferson, they will face off against Boylan Catholic at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. The Titans will roll in looking for their sixth straight victory, something the J-Hawks surely won't give up without a fight.
