The biggest upset of the week belonged to Saraland, who took down 106th ranked Greenville, 17-13.
Jackson extended the longest winning streak in 5A Region 3 this week by beating Citronelle, 40-6. The victory was the eighth in a row for the team.
Sumter Central's offense has been unstoppable this season and the Jaguars feature the season leaders in passing, rushing and receiving yards. Julius Maye has thrown for 238 yards and four touchdowns this season, while LeeOtis Washington has 12 catches for 213 yards. Maye also leads the league in rushing with 243 yards.
The top two teams in the league will face off this week when first place Jackson takes on second place Demopolis. Last week, Jackson beat the Wildcats, while Demopolis topped Satsuma.
The top two defenses in the league will face off this season when the Aggies take on the Tigers. Jackson has allowed 84 points this season, while Demopolis has given up 75. The Aggies allowed 6 points last week as they beat Citronelle.
