Edmonds-Woodway was handed a heart-breaking two-run defeat in their last game, but they sure didn't let that happen against Monroe on Wednesday. The Warriors blew past the Bearcats 10-1. The Warriors might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won six matches by seven runs or more this season.

William Alseth looked comfortable as he pitched three innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. What's more, he posted three strikeouts, the most he's had since back in March of 2024.

On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Erik Alsdorf, who scored a run while getting on base in all three of his plate appearances.

Edmonds-Woodway's win bumped their record up to 7-4. As for Monroe, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 3-8.

Edmonds-Woodway has already played their next contest, a 1-0 victory against Shorecrest on the 11th. As for Monroe, they will face off against Marysville-Pilchuck at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. The Bearcats are facing the Tomahawks at the right time seeing as the Tomahawks are stuck on a ten-game losing streak.
