Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only the Bellville Brahmas walked away with it. They blew past the Tigers 61-7 at home. Bellville's win was nothing new given the team hasn't lost yet this season.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Bellville to victory, but perhaps none more so than Sam Hranicky, who rushed for 158 yards and two touchdowns on only 12 carries. Hranicky hasn't dropped below 100 rushing yards for four straight games. DD Murray was another key contributor, rushing for 132 yards and two touchdowns on only 14 carries.
Bellville has yet to lose a matchup at home this season, leaving them with a 13-0 record. They've been dominating during the contests in that stretch too, as they've won by an average of 49.91 points. As for Silsbee, their loss ended a 12-game streak of away wins dating back to last season and brought them to 12-1.
Bellville will square off against Jasper at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Jasper is also coming in off of a big victory, so somebody is in for a big reversal of fortune. Silsbee does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
