Mayville-Portland-Clifford-Galesburg was the team that gained the most ground in the standings this week, jumping from seventh to fourth in A Region 2. The Patriots beat Langdon/Munich 25-12 earlier in the week.
North Prairie co-op [Rolette/Wolford/Rolla] took down Midway/Minto 68-14 last week, the largest margin of any game.
Brayden Hofer made the biggest impact on defense this week as Larimore beat North Border co-op [Walhalla/Pembina]. The 6-foot-2 defensive lineman.
Jake Peterson was the best receiver in the league this week as the Polar Bears bested the Eagles.
Kyle Becker was the best running back in the league this week. He ran for 127 yards on 34 carries as the Mustangs topped North Border co-op [Walhalla/Pembina]. Derek Goodoien also contributed to the rushing game with 43 yards on the ground.
The marquee game in A Region 2 this week will be the clash between Paul Peterson's team and Park River/Fordville-Lankin. The Polar Bears comes into the matchup ranked 18th in the state, while the Aggies ranks 11th.
Larimore made the biggest leap in the national rankings this week, rising to 6,298 from 7,097. The advance stemmed from a 32-0 victory over Tim Hartje's team last week.
